Responsibilities:
API Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure RESTful APIs.System Architecture: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient Python code using modern practices (async/await, type hinting, structured data validation).Database Management: Integrate and optimize relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL solutions using modern ORMs/ODMs.Performance Tuning: Profile and optimize API endpoints for latency, throughput, and resource efficiency.Testing & CI/CD: Write comprehensive unit and integration tests (PyTest) and participate in automated deployment pipelines.Collaboration: Partner with frontend engineers, product managers, and devops to define API contracts and system requirements.
Qualifications:
Python Expertise: 3+ years of professional software development experience with Python.Web Frameworks: Strong experience with modern Python web frameworks—FastAPI is highly preferred, but solid experience with Django (Ninja/REST framework) or Flask is welcome.Asynchronous Programming: Deep understanding of asynchronous programming concepts in Python (asyncio, async/await).Databases: Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) alongside ORMs like SQLAlchemy, SQLModel, or Django ORM.Containers & Deployment: Experience containerizing applications using Docker.Version Control: Proficiency with Git and collaborative workflows (Pull Requests, code reviews).Nice-to-Haves (Preferred) Experience with background task queues (Celery, Arq) and message brokers (Redis, RabbitMQ).
