Senior Software Engineer (Full-Stack | Web & Mobile) ABOUT THE ROLE We're looking for a hands-on, highly experienced Senior Software Engineer to take broad ownership of our engineering direction, scale our multi-platform architecture (web and mobile), and help build a high-performing technical team. This is a role with unusual scope for a senior engineer. You'll bridge product strategy with deep technical execution — partnering closely with leadership on technical direction while staying deeply hands-on: architecting backend systems, owning integrations, reviewing code, and mentoring fellow engineers. You'll help guide our product from its early launch stage into a rapidly scaling, highly reliable platform. WHAT YOU'LL DO Technical Ownership & Platform Architecture • Design and evolve a unified, scalable architecture across web (Next.js/React) and mobile (React Native), backed by Supabase/PostgreSQL • Architect and maintain resilient, secure integration frameworks for third-party vendors and merchants — reliable data ingestion, API syncs, and stability across external dependencies • Drive system design, database architecture, security controls (including RLS policies), API development, and data access optimization • Shape technical choices around infrastructure, serverless functions, database scaling, real-time features, and background event processing • Establish security protocols, authentication standards, CI/CD pipelines, error monitoring, and backup/disaster recovery Planning & Product Execution • Work with leadership and product managers to turn early user feedback and business goals into an execution-focused technical roadmap • Build fast to support rapid feature iteration while keeping the system design clean as user growth accelerates • Help evaluate technology vendors, external data providers, infrastructure costs, and third-party tooling Team & Engineering Operations • Play a key role in recruiting — helping attract, evaluate, and onboard full-stack, mobile, and backend developers • Champion strong engineering practices: code reviews, unit/integration testing, automated deployments, and system documentation • Mentor other engineers and support clear sprint cadences and delivery metrics WHAT YOU'LL BRING • Proven track record as a Senior, Staff, or Lead Engineer / Architect — ideally at an early-stage, fast-moving product company — with experience owning significant systems end to end • Deep expertise in TypeScript/JavaScript, React, Next.js, and React Native • Hands-on mastery of PostgreSQL and Supabase (Row Level Security, Edge/Serverless Functions, Auth), plus high-volume third-party API integration and data pipelines • Practical experience with cloud deployments, serverless architecture, app store release pipelines (iOS/Google Play), and push notifications • Strong knowledge of REST/GraphQL API design, webhooks, auth protocols (OAuth, JWT), security practices, and data privacy • Familiarity with CI/CD, monitoring/logging, end-to-end testing, and performance optimization • Experience mentoring engineers and balancing long-term technical elegance with short-term shipping goals NICE TO HAVE • Launching and scaling consumer-facing or multi-platform products from early traction to mass adoption • Third-party vendor networks, complex merchant data feeds, or multi-tenant architectures • Background processing, queue management, or event-driven architecture • Experience as a tech lead, head of engineering, or founding engineer WHO THRIVES HERE The Player-Coach — you're at home in high-level technical direction and equally happy diving into the codebase, an API integration, or a database schema to unblock the team.
