Role Description The Back End Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Winter Garden, FL. The Back End Engineer will design, develop, and maintain server-side application logic and APIs, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability for web and software solutions. Daily responsibilities include implementing secure data storage and retrieval, integrating front-end components with back-end services, optimizing database queries, and troubleshooting technical issues. The role also involves collaborating closely with front-end developers, product teams, and other stakeholders to refine requirements, improve system architecture, and support ongoing deployments. The engineer will contribute to code reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement of development standards and best practices. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Back-End Web Development and Software Development skills, with experience building and maintaining scalable server-side applications.Candidates should possess solid Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) skills, including proficiency in at least one modern backend language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, Node.js).Candidates should possess familiarity with Front-End Development concepts to effectively integrate and support user-facing components.Candidates should possess experience with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), API design (REST, GraphQL), and version control systems such as Git.Candidates should possess strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment.Relevant qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), CI/CD pipelines, and security best practices for backend systems is beneficial.
