Senior Software Engineer

Role: Senior Software Engineer Location: Galway(Hybrid) We’re hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join a high-performing technology team in Galway, working on the design, development and implementation of modern applications within a large-scale financial technology environment. This is a hands-on engineering role with a strong focus on AWS and backend development, offering the opportunity to work on scalable, production-grade applications while contributing to engineering excellence and technology innovation. What We’re Looking For Strong commercial experience as a Senior Software Engineer.Excellent experience with Java and the Spring Boot ecosystem.Strong knowledge of Kafka and middleware technologies.Frontend experience with HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript, Angular and NGRX.Strong AWS experience and exposure to cloud-based application development.A strong focus on clean code, automated testing and maintainable software.Stronger backend expertise is preferred, with the role being approximately 80% backend / 20% frontend. What You’ll Be Working On Design, develop and implement scalable software applications.Write clean, testable and maintainable code.Build and enhance backend services using Java, Spring Boot and Kafka.Develop and integrate modern frontend applications.Work with AWS to build and deploy cloud-based solutions.Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
