About Us Everyday^ is a European home technology company building the new operating system for the new home. We're bringing together the systems that matter most — air, water, and energy — reimagined as one integrated and intelligent system designed for everyday life. Yet more than 100 million homes across Europe still run on fossil fuels, and the systems inside them remain fragmented, complex, and disconnected. Our first products are Air^, which heats, cools, and cleans the air in a home, and EverydayOS, the operating system that helps the home learn and improve over time. Air^ was designed in collaboration with Bjarke Ingels Group and is powered by EverydayOS. In the coming years, we will expand our product set to include water, heating, solar, battery storage, and EV charging. The people who join us today won’t simply help grow the business — they’ll help shape what it becomes 🏡 About the Job If you want your fingerprints on an entire platform, and your code running hardware in people's homes, this is the position for you. You'll own the TypeScript side of Everyday^ end-to-end, from design discussion through implementation and production: Platform and Backend The APIs and real-time services each Everyday^ home talks to: device identity and provisioning, live state, telemetry, event pipelines. Greenfield architecture; you're in the driver seat.The App Our customer app in React Native/Expo. We have strong design partners leading the way, but you will be owning the engineering and have a real impact on the final experience. This is the interface people touch every day, controlling their own home.Reliability This platform runs homes, not dashboards. You'll care about what happens when things fail, and build so they don't.Web Surface Our marketing platform (Next.js) is mature, documented, and tooled; you keep it sharp while the interesting work happens above. AI at Everyday^ We're an AI-native engineering team. Our repos, docs, and workflows are built for working with coding agents, and we've invested heavily in making that fast. This is a core part of the role. How you build with AI is one of the main things we interview for. If you're the person that finds yourself arguing with the latest model, that's what we do too. About You You're a pilot, not a passenger. You scope your own work and outcomes. You have experience with several of the following: Strong TypeScript, across backend and frontendProduction Node backend work — APIs, Postgres, queues/event systems (MQTT/NATS/Kafka-class)Production React Native and Expo, through app-store reviewAI-assisted development as daily practice — deliberate, fast, and reviewableStartup experience and product ownership; comfortable with ambiguityClear communication.
