In this role, you will develop business-critical applications that create real impact on the production floor while working closely with engineers, production specialists, quality experts and international IT colleagues. Become part of an international production IT-team At our rapidly growing site in Brøndby, 80 employees manufacture high-quality optical fibers for demanding applications worldwide. With new equipment, new products and increasing digitalization, manufacturing applications, systems integrations and reliable manufacturing data are becoming ever more important. The plant is part of Heraeus Group with around 17,200 employees across more than 40 countries. You report to the Head of Production IT, based in Germany, while working closely with the local Danish team and global IT colleagues. A varied role with broad responsibilities Your work will combine software development, application support and continuous improvement of manufacturing systems. Among other things, you will: Maintain, support and further develop existing .NET-based manufacturing applicationsWork directly with business stakeholders to understand and resolve operational challengesImprove integrations between manufacturing applications, databases and IT systemsCreate and improve operational visualizations, including Splunk-based dashboardsSupport production ramp-ups, process changes and digitalization initiativesIdentify opportunities to modernize the existing application landscape Document applications, interfaces and technical changesWork alongside the local Production IT specialist to strengthen operational stabilityYou may take ownership of selected applications from the start or grow into the responsibility with support from experienced colleagues. In either case, you will have considerable scope to influence how the local manufacturing application landscape develops over time. Your background You hold a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Industrial IT, Business Informatics or a related field, or have gained equivalent expertise through professional experience. Whether you bring years of experience or are earlier in your career, what matters most is your technical foundation, curiosity and motivation to understand how software supports manufacturing. We imagine that you have experience with several of the following: C#, .NET and SQLREST APIs and system integrationSoftware development and support of business-critical applicationRelational databases and data-driven applicationsRequirements engineering and collaborative solution developmentExperience with manufacturing applications, MES, LIMS, ERP systems, dashboards, Splunk or IT/OT environments is beneficial but not required. Experience with PLC programming is not expected, as your focus will be on software applications, integrations and production-related digital solutions To succeed in the role, you are: Analytical and structured Curious and eager to learn new technologies and business domainsComfortable collaborating with both technical specialists and business stakeholdersPragmatic and solution-orientedAble to work independently while contributing to a team environmentInterested in understanding production processes, not only the underlying technologyFluency in English and a good knowledge of Danish is required. German language skills are considered an advantage.
