The Skills You Bring
Required Skills:
Minimum of 5 years of software engineering development experience.Proven hands-on experience working with PHP 8, Node.js, NPM, Angular 17+, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Git, REST APIs, and modern web application development.Proven hands-on experience developing Angular applications using Standalone Components, Signals, and modern control flow syntax.Strong experience maintaining, enhancing, and troubleshooting legacy PHP applications.Experience modernizing monolithic applications and migrating functionality from PHP-based architectures to Angular and Node.js solutions.Proven experience identifying, analyzing, and remediating application security vulnerabilities including OWASP Top 10 risks.Experience implementing secure coding practices, authentication, authorization, input validation, and data protection controls.Experience with relational databases including MySQL.Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and integrating with enterprise systems.Proven experience writing automated tests (unit, integration, and end-to-end) and following Test Driven Development (TDD) principles.
Any combination of the following is a plus:
Experience with Agile (Scrum or Kanban) methodologies and Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices.Experience modernizing legacy PHP frameworks such as CodeIgniter as well as custom-built applicationsExperience with application security scanning tools such as Mend, CodeQL and SonarQube.Experience performing vulnerability remediation and supporting penetration testing efforts.Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and containerized application deployments.Experience with cloud platforms including Azure and AWS.Experience with OAuth, OIDC, SAML, and other enterprise identity integrations.

This req was built today and has already been approved in Prosource.
This req requires onsite participation, so subject to the additional req audit at extension but seems likely to be approved faster than other positions as of late.
Legacy applications developed by 3rd party vending teams did not meet Fidelity standards.
Legacy Migration from PHP to Angular/Node.js has begun.
Until all PHP apps have been converted (years from now) Mend standards will require maintenance and updates The hiring manager is prepared to hire a PHP developer with Mend experience and train on everything else listed below.
With limited reqs to recruit on we have seen quality of submission skyrocket.
The ideal candidate is a PHP developer who has experience providing Mend support to active legacy applications in the environment, while providing support to the migration to Angular/Node.js.
These typescript competencies, along with Kubernetes and experience deploying applications on their own to Azure would greatly support the staff.
