Senior Software Engineer - Portfolio Analysis

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US As our new Senior Software Engineer, you will join SimCorp's Product Division, a full-scale agile organization. You will be working in an agile team of about 5-7 people in the Portfolio Analysis Product Area. The team works on our SimCorp Dimension product and on capabilities used by investment professionals to understand portfolios, performance and risk. In your daily work you will, together with your team, understand and review customer requirements, discuss solutions, implement and test the chosen solution, and support it. We use a variety of tools, but the main ones are C#, Dyalog APL and Oracle database. You will mainly be working with backend components, APIs and services. The present and near future main topics are good maintainability, high system performance, continuous integration and delivery, and reshaping parts of our product for the cloud. We are not modernizing for the sake of fashion. We are doing it because our products are business critical, widely used and need to keep evolving in a careful way. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be expected to help lead beyond writing code. You will contribute to design discussions, help the team make good technical decisions, improve maintainability and performance, and support the software you help build.
