The Impact You Will Create As a member of the STACKIT Control Plane Platform Team, you will drive the development of our secure, highly scalable API Platform, providing a "paved road" for internal engineering teams. Your mission is to empower stakeholders to effortlessly publish APIs while ensuring built-in reliability and consistent compliance governance. By designing and implementing essential core features—such as robust authentication, rate limiting, quota enforcement, and comprehensive monitoring—you will directly shape a frictionless and secure developer experience across the organization. You implement secure and thoroughly tested code and maintain our existing software stack.You act as a technical sparring partner for your colleagues. Through code reviews and the evaluation of architectural proposals, you ensure the future-proofing of our solutions.You continuously design and improve our software architecture. In doing so, you always keep availability, resilience, scalability, and performance in mind.You automate operational tasks wherever possible and ensure that our software scales efficiently with growing requirements. Experience and Skills You will Need You have already been significantly involved in the development of complex software systems and bring in-depth knowledge of distributed system architecture.You are proficient in backend development – ideally with Go, but experience in Java or Kotlin is also welcome.Working with REST and gRPC is part of your daily routine.You have already gained experience with service meshes. Ideally, you are also familiar with API proxies like Envoy.You are a team player who enjoys sharing knowledge. You take pleasure in supporting other developers and growing together within the team.
