PHP Developer in WordPress Stack

We're looking for a PHP Developer to own the ongoing maintenance and improvement of our e-commerce store and our corporate website written in WordPress framework. You'll keep both platforms fast, secure, and reliable, ship new features, fix issues, and work closely with design, marketing, and content teams to bring changes live. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys both day-to-day upkeep and building new functionality. Responsibilities Maintain, update, and troubleshoot our WooCommerce e-commerce store and marketing websiteDevelop and customize themes and plugins to meet business and design requirementsMonitor site performance, optimize page speed, and resolve bugs and downtime issuesManage updates to WordPress core, themes, and plugins, ensuring compatibility and stabilityImplement and maintain security best practices, backups, and recovery proceduresIntegrate third-party services and APIs (payment gateways, shipping, CRM, analytics, marketing tools)Collaborate with designers and content teams to implement layouts, landing pages, and campaignsEnsure responsive, cross-browser, and mobile-friendly experiencesMaintain SEO-friendly, well-structured, and documented codeSet up and manage staging environments, version control, and safe deployment workflows Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field2-4 years of professional WordPress development experienceStrong proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQLHands-on experience with WooCommerce and e-commerce workflows (checkout, payments, orders, inventory)Experience building and customizing custom themes and plugins (not just page builders)Familiarity with REST APIs and third-party integrationsUnderstanding of website security, performance optimization, and cachingExperience with Git and standard deployment practicesWorking knowledge of responsive design and cross-browser compatibilityGood problem-solving skills and attention to detailSolid written and verbal communication in English Nice to Have Experience with headless WordPress or modern JS frameworks (React, Vue)Familiarity with SEO principles and toolsExperience with page builders (Elementor, WPBakery) and ACFBasic server administration and hosting management (cPanel, Nginx/Apache, CDN)UI/UX sensibility and basic design skills Benefits Competitive remuneration package adjusted to proven skills and experience;Excellent working conditions;Exposure to training and professional development capabilities, including the ability to engage in cutting-edge research;Exposure to international clients and collaborators
