Fullstack Developer (Node.js & React)

Responsibilities: Develop high quality, secure and stable code that is covered by unit testContribute to software design and architecture by leveraging cloud design patterns and injecting your cloud expertise into the entire development lifecycleContribute to improvements in processes and deliverables that increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the team in responding to customer and business needsConduct research and make recommendations on tools, services, and standards to use for engineering effortsDocument and present your ideas and solutions accurately and thoroughlyCoordinate change deployment and release testing effortWork closely with customers to support production services in an on-call rotation and be an escalation contact for service incidentsEnthusiasm to mentor teammates, learn from others and actively engage in various agile team meetings Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience5+ years of relevant experience building large scale web applicationsDemonstrable understanding of typical web application architecture (data, application, web tiers etc.)Strong Experience with fundamental web technologies - HTML5, CSS & JavaScript with a solid understanding of the underlying principlesExperience with at least one frontend web library/framework (React- preffered, Angular or Vue)Experience with NodeJSExperience of creating secure and scalable web services with a solid understanding of the foundational communication protocols used e.g. TCP/IP, HTTP, Web SocketsExperience with Test Driven Development and unit testingExperience of security best practices for a modern cloud serviceExperience of CI/CD concepts and working with a deployment pipelineExperience of Amazon Web Services or other cloud infrastructure technologiesExperience of basic network infrastructure and components (load balancing, NAT, scaling, etc.)Comfortable with working in Linux and Windows environmentSelf-motivated, autonomous, empathetic and great communication skill. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with AWS including EC2, ECS, S3, RDS, BatchExperience with microservices and working with Docker containersExperience with JenkinsCloud security/ secure development life cycleExperience of working with Unit and End to End testing frameworks for both frontend and backend applications e.g. Jest, Cypress, XUnitExperience working in an Agile or Scrum environment.
