Nicosia, Cyprus [On-site] CRM.COM provides a repeat revenue platform serving clients worldwide with offices in the UK (HQ), Cyprus, Greece and Vietnam. We are inviting applications for a Senior Software Developer to join our Development team in Nicosia, Cyprus. Please note this role is on-site — it is not a hybrid or remote position. This is an opportunity for a senior developer to take on the same end-to-end delivery work as the rest of the team, while setting the technical bar the team builds against. Job Summary, Duties and Highlights Turn ambiguous business specs into technical designs that others can build against — and push back on the spec itself when it’s wrongOwn distributed systems in production: Java + Quarkus microservices, Kafka, Redis, MongoDB, with real depth in service boundaries, event-driven design, data modelling, idempotency and performance at scaleBuild with Claude, help define how the team uses AI well and lead our spec led development initiative.Review code, mentor developers, and raise the quality bar across the team as a senior individual contributor — this is a role of influence, not people-managementTake pride in the work: care that what ships is excellent, not merely done Essential Experience and Skills: Minimum 6 years of experience, with real ownership of distributed systems in productionDeep, hands-on experience with Java + Quarkus microservices, Kafka, Redis and MongoDB, including service boundary design, event-driven architecture, data modelling, idempotency and performance at scaleTrack record of turning ambiguous specs into technical designs, and the judgement to challenge a spec when it doesn’t hold upComfortable and disciplined using AI coding tools, with clear views on where they help and where they need checkingA genuine builder’s mindset — still writing and reviewing code, not removed from the work This role is a fit for architects who also lead with coding and seniority that is earned.
