Identity Platform Engineer Vienna, Austria — Hybrid Identity Security | Cloud Platforms | IAM | Security Engineering Our client, a growing Identity Security technology company based in Vienna, is looking for an Identity Platform Engineer to build the authentication, authorisation, and access infrastructure behind its cloud software platform. This is a hands-on engineering role combining software development, cloud infrastructure, and identity security. You'll build scalable identity services used across applications, APIs, and internal platforms—not simply administer IAM tools. What You'll Work On • Build authentication and authorisation services for cloud-native applications • Design secure identity flows using OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect • Develop platform services and automation in Go • Build fine-grained access-control and permissions capabilities • Integrate identity services across APIs, applications, and internal platforms • Operate identity workloads across Kubernetes and AWS • Improve reliability, scalability, observability, and security across identity infrastructure • Work with Platform and Security teams to implement least-privilege and Zero Trust principles Core Skills • 4+ years in Platform Engineering, Identity Engineering, Backend Engineering, Cloud Security, or similar roles • IAM • OAuth 2.0 / OpenID Connect • Go • Kubernetes • AWS • Strong understanding of authentication, authorisation, APIs, and distributed systems Nice to Have SAML / enterprise SSO RBAC / ABAC Identity federation Keycloak, Auth0, Okta, or similar identity platforms Terraform / Infrastructure as Code Secrets and certificate management Zero Trust architecture Experience building multi-tenant SaaS platforms
