Mid-Level PHP / Laravel Developer

The role We’re looking for a mid-level PHP Developer with strong Laravel experience to build, enhance and maintain web applications and bespoke software solutions. You’ll work across the full development lifecycle, from requirements and development through to testing, deployment and ongoing improvement. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving problems, writing quality code and taking ownership of their work. What you’ll do Develop clean, secure and maintainable PHP/Laravel applicationsBuild and maintain backend functionality and bespoke systemsWork with SQL Databases, REST APIs and third-party integrationsTroubleshoot, debug and optimise application performanceContribute to front-end and end-to-end functionalityTake part in requirements, development, testing and deploymentReview code and contribute to development standards and documentationWork with colleagues and clients to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions What we’re looking for Solid commercial PHP experienceStrong hands-on Laravel experienceExperience maintaining production web applicationsGood knowledge of SQL or relational databasesExperience with REST APIs and third-party integrationsGood working knowledge of GitUnderstanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScriptStrong debugging and problem-solving skillsGood understanding of secure, maintainable and performant softwareAbility to work independently and take ownershipClear communication and a pragmatic, delivery-focused approach We value practical ability and commercial experience over a specific number of years. You should be comfortable taking ownership of development work.
