Full-Stack Developer - Electronic Trading Technology (Java, Angular, Microservices) We’re hiring a Full-Stack Developer to join a market-leading electronic trading technology team within a global investment bank. You'll work on cutting-edge trading platforms used by front-office sales and trading teams, helping to deliver innovative solutions across web, desktop, mobile, and API-driven channels. This is an opportunity to work within a high-performing engineering environment, building scalable, low-latency applications that directly support business-critical trading activities. You'll collaborate with talented technologists and stakeholders across the full software development lifecycle, from design and architecture through to delivery. What You'll Do Design, develop, and enhance full-stack applications supporting electronic trading platformsBuild and maintain Java-based microservices powering web, desktop, mobile, and external API solutionsWork closely with front-office stakeholders to deliver high-impact technology solutionsContribute to architectural discussions, technical design sessions, and code reviewsChampion Agile development, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and engineering best practicesIdentify opportunities to improve development processes, tooling, and team productivitySupport all phases of the software development lifecycle including analysis, design, development, and deployment Skills & Experience Strong commercial experience developing enterprise applications in JavaExperience building scalable microservices and distributed systemsProficiency with Spring Framework, RESTful web services, and related backend technologiesExperience with Angular or another modern JavaScript frameworkStrong understanding of Agile methodologies and Test-Driven Development (TDD)Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skillsExperience with distributed caching technologies is beneficialExposure to front-office trading environments or asset classes such as Equities, FX, or Fixed Income would be advantageous Location Glasgow (Hybrid) Join a technology-driven team delivering next-generation trading solutions in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where engineering excellence and innovation are highly valued.
