Senior Software Engineer – Full Stack 📍 Canada 🕒Contract 4-5 Years Work Experience At Lektik, we build ventures powered by AI, data, and modern software engineering. Our teams work across disciplines to turn complex business problems into scalable technology products. We’re hiring a Software Engineer to help build and scale our next-generation platform. This is a hands-on product engineering role with end-to-end ownership—from React and TypeScript through Node and Python services to AWS infrastructure. What You'll Do Build and ship features end to end across front end, back end, and infrastructure.Design APIs and data models for high-throughput, always-on systems.Write and maintain tests while taking ownership of software quality.Deploy, operate, and monitor services on AWS, including troubleshooting production issues.Identify root causes of defects and implement reliable production fixes.Help migrate functionality from the existing v1.0 platform to the v2.0 architecture without disrupting live customers.What We're Looking For Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals.Hands-on experience with React and TypeScript.Experience building applications and services with Node.js and Python.Practical experience deploying and operating services on AWS.Strong relational database, API design, and debugging skills.Clear technical communication, strong curiosity, and an ownership-driven approach to engineering.Comfortable using AI development tools such as Claude as part of everyday development, review, and debugging.Nice to Have Experience working on high-throughput or always-on production systems.Experience with migrating or modernizing existing platforms.Experience working across the full software development lifecycle.
