Senior Voice Engineer

Senior AI Voice Engineer. One of my client, a well known iGaming company, based in Gzira, Malta is looking for a Senior Voice AI engineer. The role is hybrid in Gzira, Malta, 3 times per week at the office is mandatory RELOCATION PROVIDED WITHIN EUROPE Key Responsibilities: - Design and build real-time voice AI pipelines - Develop and optimize low-latency streaming systems using tools like LiveKit - Implement and fine-tune Voice Activity Detection (VAD) and turn-taking logic - Engineer robust prompting strategies for conversational AI (multi-turn, context-aware flows) - Integrate LLMs with voice interfaces for agent-assist and autonomous interactions - Optimize for latency, interruption handling, and conversational naturalness - Evaluate and improve speech recognition accuracy and voice synthesis quality - Work closely with product and operations to embed voice AI into player engagement workflows - Ensure scalability, observability, and fault tolerance of real-time systems Required Skills / Experience: - 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with strong exposure to real-time or AI systems - Hands-on experience with voice AI components including STT, TTS & VAD - Experience with LiveKit or similar real-time communication frameworks (WebRTC, media pipelines) - Strong experience with LLMs and prompt engineering for conversational systems - Proficiency in Python - Understanding of latency optimization and streaming architectures - Experience building and deploying production-grade systems
