Senior Java Developer

NOTE: This role requires working from our Sofia office in a hybrid model. At this time, we are considering only candidates who are based in Bulgaria. OpenTag is a well-funded International company within the field of Sports Betting and iGaming. We are currently looking for a Senior Java Developer to join our Sport-Casino team. Our mission is to create the best software through empowered teams, centralized around our product. Our platform is built in Golang and Java(Spring boot) with heavy usage of best practice packages, development approaches, and infrastructure. Job requirements: 4+ Years in Java and OOP development2+ Years with Spring frameworkHands-on experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL)Hands-on experience with MicroservicesHands-on experience with Kafka/AMQP protocolsHands-on experience with gRPCHands-on experience with writing BDD testsContainers experience (Docker or K8s) – advantageExperience with Agile/Scrum methodologiesExcellent written and verbal communication in English Responsibilities: Collaborate with R&D leads on requirements gathering, solution design, prototyping, development, testing, and deployment.Work closely with the Delivery Manager and Product Owners to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.Maintain high code quality through code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions.Identify and proactively address potential issues related to architecture, system design, application flow, or code quality.Drive innovation by introducing new technologies, tools, and engineering best practices.
