Role Description As a Designer II in Booking.com's FinTech Business Unit, you will champion our travellers’ and partners' needs by designing intuitive, secure, and regulated online payment experiences. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in our Amsterdam hub to define and execute comprehensively-detailed designs. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a high-scale, complex product and see the real-time impact of your work on millions of travellers worldwide. Key Job Responsibilities and Duties Design end-to-end user flows and UI solutions based on business needs and customer insights for our global payments platform.Effectively utilize a variety of research and data to better understand user needs, inform design decisions, validate hypotheses, and document insights.Create high-quality, production-level design assets for web products and native mobile apps to improve overarching user experience, usability, and accessibility.Act consistently as an advocate for end-user needs and perspectives in product area discussions, reviews, and critiques.Collaborate closely with Product Management, Research, Writing, and Engineering team members to conceive, iterate, and execute holistic design solutions.Demonstrate an applied understanding of Booking.com's brand standards, design systems, and guidelines in all your work.Communicate effectively and collaboratively to ensure team objectives are met and a strong rapport is established with stakeholders. Required Skills and Experiences 3 to 5 years of experience designing production-level, high-quality assets for web products and native mobile apps.Advanced knowledge of desktop and web UI design methods, accessibility practices, design systems, and product design principles.A successful track record of designing and shipping projects, as evidenced by your resume and portfolio.Expertise in core design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch) and basic knowledge of CSS/HTML.Strong communication, influence, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to inform design approaches using quantitative and qualitative data.Proactive, flexible, and capable of working independently as well as in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment.Experience working in Banking, Scaled FinTechs, or B2B Financial Regulatory Technology is highly desirable. Preferred skills and experience: Experience working with large corporate software product and design development Specialized skills such as visual design, information architecture, animation, systems design, brand implementation Experience working on a product spanning across multiple cultures / languages Thriving in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary, collaborative environment Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree, but may be substituted with work experience Experience working in Banking, Scaled FinTechs or B2B Financial Regulatory Technology is desirable Benefits & Perks - Global Impact, Personal Relevance: Booking.com’s Total Rewards Philosophy is not only about compensation but also about benefits.
