Versework focuses on pushing the boundaries between platforms and genres through innovative storytelling and interactive design. Team members collaborate across disciplines to create immersive, creator-driven worlds that engage diverse audiences. The environment is fast-paced, creative, and geared toward experimenting with new formats and technologies. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Game Developer role based in Seoul, South Korea. The Game Developer will build and maintain core gameplay systems, implement new features, and optimize performance for UGC-focused titles. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean, efficient code, collaborating with designers and artists to translate ideas into playable experiences, and iterating on mechanics based on player feedback and data. The role also involves debugging and profiling, integrating tools and SDKs, and ensuring games run smoothly across target platforms. The Game Developer will participate in code reviews, contribute to technical documentation, and support the continuous improvement of the studio’s development pipelines. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).Candidates should possess practical experience in Game Programming and Gameplay Programming.Candidates should possess solid Game Design fundamentals, including systems and mechanics design.Proficiency in Luau and relevant programming languages (e.g., Typescript).Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and iterate based on feedback.Understanding of UGC platforms, live operations, or multiplayer game development is a plus.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
