Job Title: Java Developer (Trading / Clearing Systems Focus) About Our Client A top-tier securities firm in China Work Location: Hong Kong Job Description Design, develop, and iteratively deliver back-end systems for trading and clearing, ensuring stability and reliability of core business workflows. Participate in the development and refactoring of core business modules, continuously improving system scalability, maintainability, and overall engineering quality. Drive system performance optimisation and governance, including concurrency handling, threading models, memory/GC management, database access, and SQL optimisation, to meet low-latency and high-throughput requirements. Participate in production environment operational support, including release/rollback management, configuration and change management, capacity planning, incident response, and post-mortem reviews (RCA), driving continuous stability improvements. Perform deployment, troubleshooting, and operational automation on Linux-based environments; develop and maintain scripts and scheduled tasks to enhance delivery and operational efficiency. Contribute to the development of monitoring, alerting, and logging systems, refining key metrics and alerting policies to improve issue detection, diagnosis, and recovery efficiency. Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, API documentation, runbooks, and contingency plans, promoting the adoption of best practices.
