Role Description The Senior Azure DevOps role is a full-time, on-site position based in Amman, Jordan.
This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Azure-based CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and deployment processes for diverse applications and services.
Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with development and operations teams to streamline releases, managing Azure resources and environments, monitoring performance and reliability, and troubleshooting deployment and infrastructure issues.
The Senior Azure DevOps professional will also define best practices, improve security and compliance in the DevOps lifecycle, mentor team members, and support continuous improvement across tools, workflows, and delivery standards.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Azure skills, including Azure DevOps Services, Azure Repos, Azure Pipelines, and Azure infrastructure management (VMs, App Services, AKS, storage, networking).Candidates should possess solid CI/CD and automation skills, such as pipeline design, configuration as code, infrastructure as code (e.g., ARM templates, Bicep, Terraform), and automated deployment strategies.Candidates should possess scripting and configuration skills, including proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, or similar languages, and experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet).Candidates should possess monitoring, reliability, and security skills, including use of tools like Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, and implementing security, compliance, and backup/DR practices.Candidates should possess collaborative and leadership skills, such as cross-functional communication, mentoring junior team members, and driving DevOps best practices across development and operations teams.Relevant experience in managed services, cloud hosting, or high-availability production environments, preferably within OTT, VAS, or similar technology domains.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Strong problem-solving abilities, ownership mindset, and willingness to stay current with emerging DevOps and cloud technologies.
