Description

Join Acelerex and contribute to sustainable energy solutions! Acelerex is a consulting and software company in the electrical sector. We are a leading provider of cutting-edge technologies and solutions in Analytics, Data Services, and SCADA/EMS, revolutionizing the energy market worldwide. We’re looking for a Data Services Software Engineer to assist with development and maintenance of our Data Services platform — the layer that ingests, validates, and serves the large market data sets behind our Analytics and SCADA/EMS products. This is a hands-on role across the full data lifecycle. You will own ETL pipelines end to end — from source connection through transformation, validation, and publication — and also build the backend services and frontend interfaces our engineers, analysts, and clients use to configure, monitor, and explore that data. Job Responsibilities · Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines that ingest data from ISO/RTO market feeds, weather services, and other data into the Data Services platform. · Implement validation, cleansing, gap-filling, and reconciliation logic so downstream analytics run on trustworthy time-series data, and build the monitoring and alerting that surfaces pipeline failures and data quality issues before users notice them. · Develop backend services and REST APIs that expose curated datasets to the Analytics platform, dashboards, and client integrations, including scheduling and orchestration of recurring data jobs. · Build and maintain the frontend of the Data Services platform — data catalogs, pipeline status dashboards, time-series charts, and configuration screens — coordinating frontend and backend data contracts and looking after the application’s security practices. · Model and evolve database schemas for large time-series and reference datasets, and tune queries, indexing, and storage so the platform performs at scale. · Document data sources, transformations, and lineage, and work with analysts and engineers to onboard new data feeds quickly and repeatably. · Leveraging AI for efficiency and automation of the tasks Requirements: · Qualifications: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field · Experience: Minimum 2 years in programming, whether that’s in data engineering, web development, or data science · Profile: We're looking for a resilient and proactive person, ready to develop and experiment quickly, who brings fresh ideas and follows good development practices. Required skills: · Proficiency in Python, plus working knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript. · Experience in a modern frontend framework (Vue.js, React, or similar). · Strong SQL, with practical experience in PostgreSQL or another relational database. · Hands-on experience building or maintaining ETL/ELT data pipelines and working with structured data at scale. · Experience with a backend web framework and REST API design. · Capacity to communicate in English comfortably. Valued skills: · Curiosity and interest in learning about ETL processes · Familiarity with time-series data handling · Understanding of electrical engineering concepts: Ohm’s law, Power Flow, LMPs, or Energy Markets. · Experience using a backend web framework. · Experience with charting or data visualization libraries. Location and Start Date: The position will be based in the Acelerex office in Vadodara, India. Immediate availability is preferred. Benefits: · Competitive compensation · Professional growth opportunities in an international company · Collaborative and innovative work environment · Exposure to analytics and data projects in the renewables and energy sector Please see www.acelerex.com to learn more about Acelerex.
