Lead DevOps Engineer / DevOps Subject Matter Expert

Description Leidos is looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer on a 200+ FTE technical development program responsible for delivering modern Identity Access Credential Management (ICAM) solutions. As a DevOps Engineer on this program, you will have the opportunity to build strong systems and software utilizing cloud capabilities to support a complex program. Based in DevOps framework, you will participate in and/or direct major deliverables throughout all aspects of the software development lifecycle including scope and work estimation, architecture and design, coding and unit testing. This role requires supporting an on-call rotation to ensure mission critical services remain operational 24/7/365. Rotation is typically to be on-call 1 full calendar week every 2 months. Required Quals; Active TS/SCI with PolygraphMaster's degree and 15+ years of relevant experience. Additional experience in lieu of degree.Expert in Linux operating system usageExpert in using DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, and RundeckExpert in the software development lifecycle, with experience delivering within DevOps toolsets/practicesDirect experience utilizing software testing performance tools, such as J-unitExperience working in an Agile development environment and tempoExperience scripting and using AWS services including Cloudformation, EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, etcExperience with containerization (Docker, EKS, ECS, etc.)Experience with Nexus administrationExperience establishing and maintaining CI/CD pipelinesExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Well versed with using version control systemsWell versed with using issue/problem tracking systemsExperience with JIRA, Confluence and Agile development methodsExperience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, including container orchestration, deployment, and scaling in a production environmentProficiency in building, managing, and optimizing containerized applications using CI/CD pipelines, along with knowledge of container registries and security best practices Desired Quals Experience with Elastic toolsExperience working in the Sponsor’s cloud environmentsExperience with Nexus administration and maintenance If you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
