Summary ✨ AI‑Generated

A senior automation engineering role focused on building software-defined operations for large-scale AI networking infrastructure. You will design source-of-truth systems, data models, and automation frameworks that translate network intent into scalable production operations across a modern multi-vendor environment.

Highlights

Build the automation platform underpinning next-generation AI networking infrastructure. The role combines deep networking expertise with software engineering, ownership of automation architecture, and the opportunity to create systems used across future infrastructure deployments.

Description

Verda is reimagining cloud infrastructure for AI workloads. We're building one of Europe's next-generation AI cloud platforms from the ground up, designing, deploying, and operating GPU infrastructure for large-scale AI training and inference. About The Role As our Senior Network Automation Engineer, you'll define the automation platform that powers Verda's AI networking infrastructure. Rather than maintaining legacy systems, you'll build the tooling, data models, and automation frameworks that every future deployment will rely on. This is an automation-first role. While a solid understanding of networking is essential, your primary craft is software engineering. You'll design production-grade systems that translate network intent into scalable, automated operations across a modern multi-vendor environment including Arista, Nokia, Juniper, SONiC, and NVIDIA-based platforms. Your Responsibilities You will own the source-of-truth strategy and automation platform that underpins our network infrastructure. This includes designing scalable data models for sites, fabrics, addressing, interfaces, and deployment intent, and building automation that turns those models into provisioning workflows, configuration generation, deployment artifacts, and operational tooling. You will develop multi-vendor onboarding and zero-touch provisioning (ZTP) workflows, build validation and compliance tooling integrated with CI/CD pipelines, and help evolve our infrastructure-as-code approach. You will also design and operate our telemetry platform, building streaming telemetry pipelines, metrics collection, dashboards, and health monitoring that provide consistent visibility across our network fleet. Your key competencies 5–7+ years of experience in software, infrastructure, or platform engineeringStrong Python skills and software engineering fundamentalsExperience with network modeling and source-of-truth platforms such as NetBox (DCIM/IPAM)Experience building infrastructure automation using Git-based workflows and CI/CDFamiliarity with modern network telemetry and metrics platformsGood understanding of datacenter networking concepts and protocolsAbility to design scalable systems that bridge software engineering and network infrastructure Nice to have Experience with automation frameworks such as Ansible, Nornir, or NetmikoExperience with Arista, Juniper, Nokia, SONiC, or NVIDIA networking platformsExperience with VictoriaMetrics, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar observability platformsFamiliarity with gNMI, OpenTelemetry, or SNMPExperience with NVIDIA NetQ, UFM, or similar fabric management platforms Practicalities Location: Helsinki, Finland (3 days per week in the office) or Remote within the EUEmployment type: Full-time and permanent What's Next We're building fast and this role needs the right person behind it.
