About The Role
We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team at the Stiftung Kirchliches Rechenzentrum Südwestdeutschland.
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our infrastructure through automation, scripting, and container management.
Your primary focus will be on ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of our systems, supporting our development teams in deploying and operating Python-based applications and services.
You will act as a key driver in implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Ansible, managing containerized environments with Docker and Nomad, and developing CI/CD pipelines to streamline our deployment processes.

Qualifications

Responsibilities
Drive automation initiatives through Infrastructure as Code, utilizing Ansible to manage configuration, deployment, and orchestration of virtual Linux systems.Serve as a primary contact for technical support, handling service requests and incident resolution via ITSM tools like Jira and ServiceNow, ensuring prompt and effective solutions.Manage and optimize containerized environments by creating and maintaining Docker-Compose deployments for static applications and leveraging Nomad for dynamic service orchestration.Develop, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to facilitate continuous integration and delivery of Python applications such as FastAPI and Airflow, along with Vue.js frontends.Monitor system health and performance using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Greylog, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues to ensure high system availability and stability.Support the operation of Docker-based specialized applications, working closely with database teams managing Oracle and PostgreSQL databases, ensuring seamless integration and performance.Participate in ongoing system improvements, security enhancements, and process optimization to support organizational goals and technological advancements.
