Position Details What You Will Do Installation, configuration, deployment & administration of enterprise applications.Understand and research system functionality & application dependencies and keep accurate documentationPerform day-to-day support, accurately identify, and resolve issues in a timely mannerProvide accurate timely reports to management regarding status of critical systems & processesActively participate in Agile development projects to represent the interests of maintaining Production application stability and adhering to Production readiness standardsStrive to improve production environment stability by working with others to set up, maintain and monitor applications and systems, while meeting availability targets.Actively participate in DR planning and design, be involved in DR exerciseTimely prioritization & escalation of incidents to Senior ManagementBuild, automate, maintain & troubleshoot end-to-end release management (CI/CD) flowsAutomate routine tasks to improve efficiency and optimize operational environmentDevelop and use appropriate metrics to monitor production environmentFollow established processes/standards, technology architecture, risk and production capacity guidelinesWork with infrastructure teams to establish best practices & standards for application installation, configuration & troubleshootingWork with external vendors to coordinate a variety of functions including support, upgrades, patchesDebug & analyze application issues using standard tools available in the marketMaintain technology currencyParticipate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as required Who You Are Post secondary education in IT, computer science or related program4-5 years relevant experienceExperience supporting websites and API’sExperience supporting .Net Web applicationsProduction support experience with enterprise applicationsProduction working experience of both Linux and Windows operating systemsExperienced with configuration and managing SQL server databasesChange management and incident management experienceFamiliar with Software Development Life CycleGeneral knowledge with system integration, API and Web ApplicationsExperience setting up application monitoring (Grafana, Datadog, etc.)Experience with Agile methodologyExperience setting up & automating CI/CD flowAzure DevOps (DevOps pipelines & automation) experienceGood knowledge in scripting languages with Shell and PythonKnowledge in Ansible would be an assetExperience with Guidewire Suite (Policy center / Billing Center / Claim Center) and / or React Applications an assetStrong communications skills both verbal and written for a client facing roleExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsFlexible to work outside of business hours for production deployments and application support Our Commitment We are an equal opportunity employer and are committed to providing employment accommodation in accordance with all applicable Provincial Human Rights and Accessibility Legislation.
