Software Engineer – Investment & Trading Systems
A leading global hedge fund is hiring Software Engineers to build systems that directly influence how the firm invests, trades and operates.
This isn't a role maintaining one product or working through a backlog of predefined tickets.
Engineers work directly with Portfolio Managers, Trading, Risk, and Treasury to understand difficult problems, decide what should be built, and own the solution through to production.
Projects could include:
Building transaction cost analytics to understand execution quality and reduce trading costsDeveloping systems for managing FX exposure, hedging, cash and liquidityBuilding intraday trading and risk platforms processing large volumes of real-time dataDeveloping systems that turn investment and performance data into investor and fundraising materials
What we're looking for
Proficiency in any of Python, Java or C#.Strong SQL and experience working with complex datasetsExperience building APIs, distributed systems, data platforms or high-volume applicationsComfortable working directly with technical and non-technical stakeholdersAble to take an ambiguous problem and drive it forward without needing a detailed specification
Financial experience is useful, but not essential.
