Expert Software Product Manager

Description - We are looking for an experienced Expert Software Product Manager to drive the planning and delivery of high-impact software products and features across HP’s consumer notebook portfolio. In this role, you will be responsible for translating customer needs and business goals into clear product direction, while partnering closely with engineering, design, and cross-functional teams to execute effectively. You will play a critical role in shaping roadmap priorities, driving initiatives forward, and ensuring successful delivery at scale. This role is well-suited for product managers who combine strong execution instincts with strategic thinking and enjoy working across organizational boundaries. Key Responsibilities Own the full lifecycle of software products or major features, from discovery through launch and iterationDefine and communicate product requirements, priorities, and success metrics aligned to broader portfolio strategyConduct market, customer, and competitive analysis to inform roadmap decisionsIdentify opportunities to leverage new technologies and platforms to improve customer experiencesPartner closely with engineering and UX to deliver high-quality, customer-centric softwareDrive cross-functional alignment across commercial, marketing, partnerships, and operational teamsTrack and analyze product performance using data and customer feedback to guide iterationRepresent the product in planning forums, reviews, and cross-team working sessionsEngage with customers and internal stakeholders to gather insights and validate solutionsContribute to process improvements and best practices within the product organization Required Qualifications Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a closely related field7+ years of experience in software product management or related rolesExperience delivering customer-facing software products in a technology-driven environmentFamiliarity working in agile, cross-functional, and globally distributed teams Must-Have Experience Led product features or initiatives from concept through launchBuilt and maintained product roadmaps in fast-paced environmentsCollaborated closely with engineering and UX teams to deliver end-to-end solutionsUsed data and customer insights to inform prioritization and decision-makingDemonstrated strong stakeholder management across functions and levelsAnalytical mindset with the ability to evaluate tradeoffs and measure impactComfortable operating in environments with evolving priorities and constraints Tools & Skills Agile MethodologyChange ManagementContinuous ImprovementJIRAKanban PrinciplesLean Product DevelopmentMilestone-based PlanningNew Product DevelopmentProduct ManagementScrum & Sprint Planning Impact & Scope Impacts function and leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives.
