The Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack .NET Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team. This is a hands-on role focused on enhancing and supporting enterprise-grade Microsoft applications, modernising existing platforms, developing new capabilities, and owning key Azure services that underpin business-critical solutions. You will work across the full technology stack, from front-end development through to backend APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, and production support. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise across C#, .NET, Azure, SQL Server, API development, and modern engineering practices, along with a passion for continuous improvement and emerging AI-assisted software delivery capabilities. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and support full-stack applications using C#, .NET, SQL Server, and modern frontend technologies.Build and maintain REST APIs, backend services, and enterprise integrations.Support, refactor, and modernise existing production .NET applications.Manage Azure services including App Services, Functions, API Management, and related cloud infrastructure.Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code using Azure DevOps, Terraform, and Bicep.Apply modern architecture and engineering practices, including SOLID principles and secure coding standards.Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code to improve delivery efficiency and code quality.Troubleshoot production issues and support operational excellence initiatives.Collaborate closely with stakeholders, product owners, and engineering teams to deliver business outcomes.Contribute to technical leadership, mentoring, documentation, and continuous improvement activities. What You'll Need Strong experience with C#, .NET Core/.NET 6+, ASP.NET Core, and SQL Server.Experience developing modern web applications using React, TypeScript, Angular, or similar technologies.Strong REST API development and enterprise application delivery experience.Hands-on experience with Azure services including App Services, Functions, and API Management (APIM).Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or Bicep).Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and secure development practices.Experience supporting and enhancing production applications.Knowledge of OAuth, OpenID Connect, JWT, and API security.Experience working in Agile delivery environments.Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills. Desirable Skills Experience with GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or other AI-assisted development tools.Knowledge of CQRS, MediatR, event-driven architectures, and distributed systems.Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerised platforms.Experience with Azure Service Bus and messaging technologies.Experience modernising legacy .NET applications.Exposure to monitoring and observability tools such as Application Insights and Azure Monitor.Experience in financial services, insurance, SaaS, or other regulated industries.
