DevOps Security Engineer

Role Description We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Security Engineer with extensive, hands-on experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud technologies. The ideal candidate must demonstrate advanced knowledge in container orchestration, CI/CD engineering, automation, and production support. An eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies, thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, and a willingness to provide operational support around the clock are essential characteristics for success in this role. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain AWS infrastructure, including EKS, ECS, VPC, ALB, RDS, Redis, S3, Glue, and Certificate ManagerDevelop and manage Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, utilizing advanced Groovy scriptingAutomate deployment and operational workflows with Python and Shell scriptingManage and support Docker and Kubernetes workloads, with a preference for EKSLead security vulnerability remediation efforts, oversee patching, and manage certificate lifecyclesTroubleshoot L2/L3 production issues, conduct root cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective actionsConfigure and optimize Akamai Content Delivery Network (CDN)Implement monitoring and observability solutions using CloudWatch, Dynatrace, and SplunkCollaborate with Agile teams, adapting quickly to new tools, technologies, and processesProvide 24/7 production support on a rotational or as-needed basis Qualifications Advanced, hands-on AWS expertise: EKS, ECS, VPC, ALB, RDS, Redis, S3, Glue, and Certificate ManagerProficiency in Jenkins CI/CD with advanced Groovy scriptingStrong skills in Python or Shell scriptingExperience in Docker and Kubernetes operations, with EKS preferredProduction troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance tuning capabilitiesKnowledge of security vulnerability remediation and patch managementExperience supporting and configuring Akamai CDNSolid Linux fundamentalsAbility to learn new technologies quickly and thrive in a fast-paced work environmentWillingness to participate in 24/7 support rotations Preferred Skills Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation for infrastructure automationFamiliarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, Prometheus, and GrafanaUnderstanding of GitOps tools, including ArgoCD and Flux Skills AWS, DevSecOps, CI/CD
