Senior DevOps Engineer

We're looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team in Malaga, Spain in a hybrid working mode. In this role, you will design, automate and operate enterprise-scale cloud platforms that support mission-critical trading systems for a global hedge fund. You will leverage your expertise in Microsoft Azure and/or AWS, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD to drive platform modernization, improve engineering productivity and ensure operational resilience for highly regulated financial environments. Responsibilities Architect, implement and manage cloud-native platforms on Azure and/or AWS Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks using tools like GitLab Deploy and optimize Kubernetes clusters and container orchestration systems Develop infrastructure-as-code templates (Terraform or similar) for resource management Establish operational observability practices, including monitoring, logging and alerting Identify performance bottlenecks and lead root-cause analysis for critical incidents Create and integrate automation tools to improve developer productivity and release velocity Ensure security, compliance and high availability across multi-cloud environments Partner with development teams to design and deliver deployment strategies Contribute to platform reliability engineering and disaster recovery testing Requirements 15+ years of professional experience in IT infrastructure, systems engineering, DevOps or cloud engineering 7+ years in public cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure and/or AWS) Proven experience supporting business-critical applications with high availability requirements Deep knowledge in Kubernetes and container orchestration, serverless compute platforms, Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform), CI/CD pipeline architecture and YAML pipelines, and monitoring and observability tools, including Prometheus, Splunk, or similarHands-on coding experience in Python (required) and one statically typed, object-oriented language (e.g., Java or C#)Familiarity with enterprise security, cloud networking and API integration Experience troubleshooting production workloads and performing root-cause analysis Excellent communication skills, ability to collaborate in a global team Nice to have Familiarity with Bazel/MSBuild, JavaScript/TypeScriptCertifications such as Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104) or Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD), or Terraform certificationExperience with financial services or trading environments Knowledge of BuildBot for advanced CI/CD workflows We offer Private health insuranceEPAM Employees Stock Purchase Plan100% paid sick leaveReferral ProgramProfessional certificationLanguage courses EPAM is a leading digital transformation services and product engineering company with 61,700+ EPAMers in 55+ countries and regions.
