AWS Cloud Platform Engineer

What does this job involve? A strong cloud platform is the foundation of innovative and scalable solutions. That's where you come in. As an AWS Cloud Platform Engineer at Discai, you play a key role in designing, managing and expanding our AWS cloud environment. You will help build and maintain the platform that supports our development and research teams. Your focus will be on ensuring that our cloud infrastructure remains secure, reliable, compliant and future-proof. Using modern cloud technologies, Infrastructure-as-Code and DevSecOps practices, you will create an environment that enables teams to deliver solutions efficiently and securely. You will join an innovative fintech company where AI, data and technology are at the heart of everything we do. Together with software developers, cloud specialists, machine learning engineers and data scientists, you will help build solutions that support financial institutions in the fight against financial crime. What do we expect from you? You take ownership of the security, reliability, compliance and standardisation of Discai's cloud environments.You implement and enforce security and compliance requirements driven by financial regulations, customer requirements and industry standards.You design, implement and operate AWS services using Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code principles.You support product teams with the technical design, implementation and testing of cloud-based solutions.You monitor cloud environments, investigate incidents and provide support for complex technical issues.You identify opportunities to optimise cloud costs and propose practical improvement initiatives.You help prevent and reduce technical debt across cloud infrastructure and tooling.You contribute to the continuous improvement of DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines and automation capabilities.You support customers during the technical onboarding of the Discai platform. Your strengths? You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or you bring equivalent hands-on experience.You have at least four years of experience working with AWS and designing solutions according to the AWS Well-Architected Framework.You have experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, preferably Terraform.You have a strong understanding of networking, IAM, security, observability, logging and alerting within AWS environments.You are familiar with DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines and automation.You have experience with incident management and troubleshooting in cloud environments.You have Python programming skills and are comfortable working in serverless environments.Knowledge of FinOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) or AI/ML environments is considered an asset.You communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and can clearly explain technical trade-offs.You are curious, pragmatic and eager to take initiative in a fast-growing environment.
