Description
We are looking for a Medior/Senior Linux Infrastructure Engineer to join a long-term project supporting a large-scale enterprise IT environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Linux-based infrastructure, with a strong focus on system stability, performance, automation, and reliability.
You will work primarily with Linux (Ubuntu/Debian), Ansible, VMware, and infrastructure automation, while also supporting containerized environments and participating in incident resolution and infrastructure improvements.
Responsibilities
Operate and maintain Linux-based infrastructure, primarily Ubuntu and DebianEnsure high availability, stability, security, and performance of infrastructure systemsAutomate configuration management, deployments, and system provisioning using Ansible and Infrastructure as Code practicesSupport and administer VMware-based virtualized environmentsTroubleshoot infrastructure and system issues and drive incidents through resolutionPerform root cause analysis and implement preventive improvementsSupport infrastructure changes, upgrades, and system optimizationWork with containerized workloads using Docker and/or KubernetesDevelop and maintain automation scripts using Bash and/or PythonWork with monitoring and logging solutions to identify and resolve infrastructure issuesMaintain technical documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team
Requirements
Strong hands-on experience with Linux system administrationPractical experience with Ubuntu, Debian, or similar Linux distributionsHands-on experience with Ansible for infrastructure and configuration automationExperience administering VMware environments such as vSphere, ESXi, or vCenterUnderstanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and infrastructure automation practicesGood troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsBasic understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, routing, and firewallsExperience with Bash and/or Python scriptingFamiliarity with Docker and/or KubernetesExperience with monitoring and logging toolsAbility to independently investigate and resolve infrastructure incidentsStrong documentation and knowledge-sharing skillsProactive, self-driven, and team-oriented approachGood communication and time-management skillsFluent English
