DevOps Engineer Noord-Holland, Netherlands | Permanent | €85,000 + Excellent Benefits Quantum computing experience is NOT a requirement. Are you an experienced DevOps Engineer looking for the opportunity to work with genuinely cutting-edge technology? We’re partnering with a fast-growing deep-tech scaleup in the quantum technology space to recruit a DevOps Engineer — and you do not need a background in quantum computing, physics or quantum technology to be considered. What we’re looking for is strong DevOps and infrastructure engineering experience, a passion for automation and the ability to work alongside highly technical engineering teams. You’ll learn the quantum side on the job. About the company: Our client is helping accelerate the development of scalable quantum computers. They build advanced quantum control systems used by leading laboratories and quantum startups around the world. Their technology sits directly alongside quantum processors, providing the control and readout capabilities needed to run sophisticated quantum experiments. It’s a unique environment where software engineering, hardware and cutting-edge scientific research come together. About the role: You’ll join a growing DevOps team working across FPGA, embedded systems and high-level software. This is a hands-on role with plenty of scope to make an impact. You’ll build and improve CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure, improve reliability and help engineering teams adopt modern DevOps practices. There’s a substantial technical backlog and plenty of opportunity to influence how DevOps is done as the company scales. What you’ll be doing: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines across FPGA, embedded and software projects Automate build, testing and deployment workflows Improve infrastructure reliability, scalability and monitoring Work with Podman, Ansible, Terraform, GCP, libvirt and QEMU/KVM Implement secure DevOps practices Support governance, compliance and change-control requirements Partner with engineering teams to improve development and delivery processes Help teams adopt DevOps practices and continuous improvement Contribute to backlog management and help shape ways of working What we’re looking for: 3+ years’ experience in DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering or a similar role Strong experience with CI/CD, build automation and deployment Hands-on experience with containers such as Podman, Docker or similar Experience with Terraform and/or Ansible Cloud experience, ideally GCP Strong Linux and scripting skills Understanding of security, compliance and governance within DevOps Strong communication and collaboration skills A proactive, hands-on approach to solving technical problems It would be a bonus if you have: Experience with libvirt, QEMU or KVM Exposure to FPGA or embedded development environments Experience driving DevOps adoption across engineering teams Experience in semiconductors, hardware, scientific instrumentation or other deep-tech environments Experience working in a high-growth startup or scaleup.
