DevOps Engineer – 12+ Month Contract – Amsterdam
The role
We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join an international DevOps in Amsterdam.
You will work on the development, operation and continuous improvement of critical platforms, APIs and microservices.
The role combines hands-on DevOps engineering, automation, infrastructure, monitoring and security within a highly reliable and regulated environment.
Responsibilities
Manage and support the full stack across Development, Test, Acceptance and Production environments.Automate deployments, configuration and operational processes using Ansible, scripting and Azure DevOps.Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and support continuous delivery.Manage lifecycle, patching and security of operating systems, middleware and databases.Improve monitoring and observability using Grafana, Prometheus, ELK and telemetry.Support High Availability and Disaster Recovery testing.Troubleshoot technical issues, identify root causes and implement structural improvements.Work on infrastructure automation, environment setup, monitoring and deployment processes.Support security controls, vulnerability management and IT risk requirements.Work within an Agile/Scrum squad and collaborate closely with technical stakeholders.Take ownership of issues and improvements from identification through to completion.
Skills
5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer.Strong hands-on experience with Ansible or similar automation tooling such as Terraform, Chef or Salt.Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.Strong knowledge of Red Hat / RHEL environments and networking.Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana or ELK.Strong scripting skills in Python, Shell or Ansible.Experience with virtualization or container technologies such as VMware, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift or OpenStack.Experience with Git and CI/CD tooling.Understanding of REST APIs, DevOps/SRE concepts and RDBMS.Experience working with clustered, high-availability environments.Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
