Position Overview
We are seeking a Security-Focused DevOps Engineer to lead the packaging, deployment, and security posture of a critical software suite used in fire prevention systems.
This role sits at the intersection of DevOps, cybersecurity, and software deployment within an ecosystem that includes:
A Windows-based configuration application;A C/C++ Linux simulation of a fire prevention panel;A C++/Qt simulator interacting with live simulations and configuration files.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a seamless, secure, and enterprise-ready deployment experience.
This includes packaging and integrating Linux components for Windows environments using WSL2, virtual machines, or containers, as well as implementing an Okta-based identity management solution across the software suite.
Key Responsibilities
Design, package, and deploy software solutions across Windows and Linux environments.Implement and maintain secure deployment processes and operational practices.Package and distribute Linux components for Windows users through WSL2, virtualization, or container technologies.Implement and administer identity and access management (IAM) solutions using Okta or an equivalent identity platform.Integrate authentication and authorization mechanisms using SAML, OAuth2, OIDC, and JWT standards.Perform vulnerability assessments, security reviews, and system hardening activities.Apply security best practices across infrastructure and deployment environments.Collaborate with development teams to ensure secure software delivery practices are followed.Troubleshoot deployment, integration, and security-related issues across the software ecosystem.Produce and maintain clear deployment, security, and operational documentation for internal teams and enterprise customers.Ensure compliance with reliability, security, and corporate customer requirements.
Required Qualifications
