Description

Data Platform Engineer Position: Contract Location: Downtown Toronto Duration: 12+ months Job description: • Strong Python backend development (FastAPI, microservices, REST APIs) • Data development with SQL and Snowflake (Snowpark, Stored Procedures, Tasks, Streams, Dynamic Tables). But not heavy on snowflake • Backend platform engineering, API design, and cloud-native development • Ability to independently own end-to-end feature delivery • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline. • 5-7 years of professional full stack development experience, with demonstrated delivery of production-grade web applications. • Experience in the Payments or Fintech industry would be a strong asset. • Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple concurrent workstreams, and deliver with minimal oversight. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences. • Unquestionable personal and business ethics and integrity.
