About Us and the Role We are a fast-growing multinational financial technology (Fintech) leader transforming financial inclusion and consumer credit across Latin America. We build innovative financing solutions—combining credit lines, proprietary device-financing technology, and advanced analytics—to empower end users and merchant partners across the region. We are currently undergoing a major regional data platform modernization, constructing a high-performance, event-driven, multi-country cloud analytics architecture. We seek a mature, highly experienced DataOps Engineer with 3+ years of technical expertise who thrives in complex environments—balancing deep cloud infrastructure, automated data delivery, and machine learning operationalization with collaboration and strategic thinking. Your main strength will be Infrastructure as Code with Terraform on GCP (Datastream, Cloud Run, GCS, Secret Manager) and CI/CD automation with GitHub Actions, but having a strong background in data code testing/deployments (dbt, Snowflake) and API model packaging (FastAPI, Docker for GDS Link integration) will be considered a major plus. As a technical leader, you will engage across Data Engineering, Data Science, Security, and Product, forging strong relationships to deliver real business value. Here, thoughtful communication and constructive negotiation are as critical as engineering prowess. What You'll Do Lead the architecture, deployment automation, and continuous improvement of our regional cloud data platform, advocating for modern, secure, and scalable DataOps and model deployment solutions—primarly using Terraform and GCP (Datastream, Cloud Run, GCS, Secret Manager).Drive the adoption of automated CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) for data code, data transformations (SQL / dbt / Snowflake), and analytical models.Package, containerize, and mantain real-time credit scoring models as APIs (FastAPI / Docker) to support seamless integration with decision engines like GDS Link.Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating data infrastructure concepts and ensuring solutions reflect business goals, data governance, and FinOps cost optimizations.Partner closely with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Security, and Product leads—facilitating open dialogue, sharing feedback, and aligning infrastructure decisions with the regional business strategy.Mentor and inspire engineers, fostering knowledge sharing in automated data testing, cloud infrastructure automation, and machine learning deplyoment best practices.Bring the maturity of 3+ years of experience—surfacing infrastructure risks early, managing data lifecycle complexity, and guiding teams through technical trade-ofss.Champion security, IAM control, secret management, and compliance, leveraging safe deplyoment practices across multi-country cloud environments. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree or higher in Sofware Enginering, Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.3+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, DataOps, or Cloud Infrastructure roles, with a strong focus on Terraform and GCP (Cloud Run, Datastream, GCS, Secret Manager).Proven track record implementing CI/CD pipelines for data engineering code (dbt, SQL, Snowflake) using GitHub Actions or similar CI engines.Experience in packaging and serving machine learning models as production-ready microservices/APIs (Python, FastAPI, Docker) for real-time integration (e.g., GDS Link or custom decision APIs).Strong proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) for infrastructure automation and orchestration.Solid understanding of cloud security practices: IAM management, secret encryption, network policy controls, and regulatory compliance in LATAM.Strong skills in communication, collaboration, and negotiation across engineering, data science, product, and security teams.Demonstrated experience mentoring and leading teams in transparent, feedback-rich environments.Outstanding command of written and spoke English and Spanish.Fintech, banking, or credit risk industry experience in LATAM is a plus.Google Cloud Platform certifications (GCP Professional Cloud Architect / Professional DevOps Engineer) are a plus.
