We are seeking a highly experienced FLEXCUBE professional with a strong blend of technical and functional expertise.
The ideal candidate should have proven experience supporting and troubleshooting complex core banking environments, be familiar with recent FLEXCUBE implementation and upgrade programmes, and be capable of contributing across both operational support and technical activities.
Job Summary
Overall Purpose:
The Senior Software Engineer shall develop and maintain complex software systems, as well as providing technical direction, overseeing software development lifecycle and ensuring best practices are adhered to.
The job holder shall be involved in designing robust architectures, solving challenging technical problems and mentoring team members, whilst collaborating closely with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals and driving innovation.
Key Responsibilities
The job holder will be responsible for:
Managing the design and architecture of software projects, taking into account scalability, performance and maintainability, whilst providing technical guidance to the team.Leveraging programming languages and frameworks to develop robust and efficient solutions.Ensuring that software maintenance needs are supported and addressed, whether these are for in-house developments or require the interaction with vendors/suppliers.Handling highly complex problems and provides innovative solutions.Collaborating with teams, including cross-functional and multidisciplinary groups, to drive successful project outcomes.Ensuring alignment with the software development lifecycle and the procedures defined for the department.Taking ownership of the IT Delivery aspects of larger-scale and critical projects, overseeing the development process from planning to deployment.Communicating with stakeholders, presents technical solutions, and provides insights to drive decision-making and project success.Driving the technical decisions for the team, fostering a culture of innovation, and driving technical excellence.Actively contributing to the growth of the engineering team by mentoring other team members, sharing knowledge, and promoting continuous learning.
This position requires the ability to work in a 24/7 operational environment, including the possibility of on-call responsibilities.
In addition to the specific functions, management may assign more duties as required for the job from time to time.

Required criteria:
Previous proven work experience of five (5) years in a Software Engineering-related role AND an MQF level 6 Qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related area.
OR
Previous proven work experience of seven (7) years in a Software Engineering-related role.
OR
Previous proven work experience of three (3) years in a Software Engineering-related role AND an MQF level 6 Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related area.
Desireable Criteria:
Software Development certifications.
