We're looking for a Backend Engineer who builds the systems underneath: data models, pipelines, APIs, and background workflows that stay correct as volume grows.
Responsibilities
Design and evolve the data model behind properties, tenants, mandates, and matchingBuild APIs and services that the product and our integrations run onOwn our ingestion and enrichment pipelines: structured extraction from unstructured sourcesBuild reliable background and event-driven workflows with InngestIntegrate third-party systems: CRM, market data providers, internal toolingKeep it correct and fast: query performance, indexing, data integrity, observabilityDefine backend standards — testing, deployment, monitoring — as the team grows
Requirements
Production backend experience with TypeScript/Node or a comparable modern stackStrong SQL and relational data modeling — Postgres ideallyExperience with APIs, background jobs, queues, or event-driven architectureYou care about correctness and can reason about failure modes before they happenComfort owning a service end-to-end, from schema to monitoringBonus: Supabase, Inngest, vector databases, or large-scale ETL/data pipelinesBonus: LLM-based extraction from unstructured documentsOpen to strong Entry and Junior candidates who can show real shipped workBusiness-fluent English; German a plus, not required
