Job Description
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer with strong hands-on Kubernetes administration and GitOps experience to support ongoing Kubernetes operations, cluster maintenance, upgrades, deployments, and process improvement.
This role will focus on maintaining and upgrading Kubernetes environments, resolving operational backlog items, deploying open-source components, supporting GitOps-based deployment workflows, and improving the processes used to manage Kubernetes changes.
The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of experience working as a Kubernetes Administrator, DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), or in a combination of these roles.
This person should be comfortable working independently, collaborating across teams, and operating professionally in a remote environment.
Enterprise Experience Strongly Preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Address backlog tickets related to Kubernetes updates, configurations, and operational work.
Maintain, configure, and upgrade Kubernetes clusters.
Deploy open-source components within Kubernetes environments.
Support GitOps-based Kubernetes deployment workflows using GitLab and ArgoCD.
Refine processes for recognizing, communicating, and implementing Kubernetes changes.
Collaborate with other teams to support integrations and Kubernetes upgrades.
Support continuous improvement of Kubernetes operational processes.
Automate operational workflows using Bash or other scripting languages.
Write and update internal documentation covering technical tasks and operational processes.
Qualifications
Must-Have Skills
3–5 years of experience as a Kubernetes Administrator, DevOps Engineer, SRE, or in a combination of these roles.
Strong hands-on Kubernetes administration experience.
Experience with Git and GitOps practices.
Hands-on experience with ArgoCD.
Familiarity with open-source technologies within the Kubernetes ecosystem.
Experience working with CI/CD pipelines.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently with professionalism and minimal supervision.
Nice-to-Have Skills
Bash scripting experience.
Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification.
Experience creating and maintaining internal technical or operational documentation.
