Your role We are looking for a highly experienced PHP Technical Leader / Architect to join our Digital team and support the development and evolution of enterprise-scale web applications. This role combines deep technical expertise with a consultative mindset. You will play a key role in shaping architecture decisions, improving engineering practices, and supporting client interactions. Depending on your interests and growth path, you will also have an opportunity to contribute to team leadership and mentoring activities. You will work on complex, high-impact products, collaborating with cross-functional teams and engaging directly with clients to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality solutions. Your tasks Provide technical oversight for PHP-based projects, ensuring quality, scalability, and maintainability. Design and define architecture for web applications, recommending best practices and optimal technical solutions.Drive improvements in engineering processes, tooling, and code quality across PHP applications.Actively participate in resolving critical incidents and complex production issues.Contribute to and enforce code review standards and best practices.Collaborate with DevOps teams to define infrastructure and development needs.Participate in client meetings, translating technical concepts into clear, business friendly language.Support effort estimation and solution design as a technical consultant.Mentor team members and support knowledge sharing within the team.(Optional) Contribute to team coordination and leadership, supporting the team’s growth and effectiveness. Your profile Strong expertise in PHP and modern web application development.Very good knowledge of Laravel and WordPress.Proven experience working with enterprise-scale web applications.Strong skills in debugging, troubleshooting, and performance analysis.Solid understanding of web application architecture and design patterns.Solid understanding of cloud environments, server infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines. Strong experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL).Awareness of security best practices in web applications.Ability to make independent technical decisions and take ownership.Proactive approach to problem identification and resolution.Strong communication and collaboration skills,very good command of English.Ability to understand business context and work effectively with non-technical stakeholders.Experience or readiness to engage with clients in a consulting capacity. Nice to have Interest in developing people management or team leadership skills.Experience with Python web frameworks (e.g., FastAPI).Knowledge of frontend technologies (JavaScript – including Vue.js, HTML, CSS).Practical experience with AI/LLM integrations in web applications.
