Role Overview
The Marketing Specialist role within the Metasearch Commercial team is pivotal for Booking.com's presence and success on major price comparison platforms.
Operating at the intersection of advertising strategy and the dynamic travel industry, this position requires a blend of analytical acumen, relationship-building skills, and project management expertise.
The primary focus revolves around the management of Cost-Per-Click (CPC) based advertising campaigns across leading Metasearch engines such as Trivago, Tripadvisor, Kayak etc., directly influencing Booking.com's Metasearch strategy and overall market competitiveness.
This position resides within the Global Performance Marketing Department.
Essential Functions of the role:
Strategic Partnership Development: Cultivate strong relationships with Metasearch partners, focusing on communication, negotiation, and planning to meet financial goals, improve performance, and drive growth.
Identify new product opportunities.
Campaign Performance Management: Manage advertising accounts and campaigns end-to-end, monitoring KPIs, optimizing ad spend for ROI, and collaborating with specialized teams (bidding, analytics, product/tech).
Regularly report performance, analyze trends, and adapt strategies.
Project Leadership: Own Meta account-related projects from research and prioritization to implementation and results tracking.
Requires strong organizational skills and cross-team communication.
Data-Driven Decisions: Use advanced analytics tools to identify optimization opportunities, prioritize initiatives, and translate insights into strategic adjustments.
Key Job Responsibilities and Duties
Oversee the daily management of strategic advertising campaigns on meta search platforms.
Manage external stakeholder relationships with Metasearch partners.
Direct and manage projects end-to-end, including research, prioritization, stakeholder alignment, implementation, and outcome measurement.
Utilize data-driven insights to determine and prioritize tasks that maximize team and company value.
Collaborate with global and cross-departmental stakeholders, both internal and external.
Partner closely with the analytics team to refine advertising spend in alignment with defined KPIs.
Evaluate performance data and develop strategies to enhance business growth while maintaining return on investment (ROI).
Generate and execute innovative digital marketing strategies and solutions.
Role Qualifications and Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of experience in digital marketing, Paid Social, CPC, PPC, Programmatic Display kind of role.
Proficient in English (written and verbal communication); knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
Basic understanding and practical experience with analytics and SQL.
Strong business acumen and familiarity with key digital marketing performance indicators (KPIs).
Proven experience in managing external partnerships.
Experience using data visualization tools like Google Data Studio, Tableau or similar platforms.
Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks.
Strong stakeholder management and influencing abilities.
