Rust Engineer

Rust Engineer Up to £250,000 + Bonus Hybrid - 4 days a week in central London (will reduce to 3 after 6 months) We are partnering with a leading global quantitative investment firm seeking an experienced Rust Engineer to join a high-performing team. This role sits at the core of the firm’s technology platform, focused on building scalable distributed systems, internal services, and compute infrastructure that directly support both trading and research operations. What You’ll Be Working On Designing and developing production-grade distributed systemsBuilding internal frameworks and platforms used across the businessDeveloping and operating Kubernetes-based microservicesCollaborating closely with investment and engineering stakeholdersSupporting highly available, low-latency production environmentsDriving projects through the full software lifecycle Technology Stack Rust, C++, Python, Kubernetes, Docker, Linux, CI/CD, Distributed Systems What We’re Looking For 6+ years of software engineering experienceStrong commercial C++ experience (required)Interest in or experience with RustExperience with containerised microservices and KubernetesStrong understanding of distributed systems and production infrastructureExperience designing and supporting CI/CD pipelinesExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills
