Role Description This full-time, on-site Software Engineer role is based in Moncton, NB. The Software Engineer will design, develop, test, and maintain back-end services and applications, working closely with other engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver features from concept to deployment. Daily responsibilities include writing clean, efficient code, performing code reviews, troubleshooting and resolving defects, and contributing to technical documentation. The role also involves collaborating on system architecture, optimizing performance, and participating in agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. The Software Engineer is expected to stay current with industry best practices and help improve development processes and tooling. Qualifications Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software design principles. Using Ai for accelerated coding is non-negotiable - but an understanding of troubleshooting code is required.Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience in at least one modern language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, or similar).Experience in Back-End Web Development, including APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and related design patterns.Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.Ability to analyze requirements, solve complex technical problems, and write maintainable, testable code.Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a cross-functional team on-site.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Experience with cloud platforms, containerization, automated testing, or CI/CD pipelines is an asset.
