Description

Product Engineer (Full Stack) Inkse | Australia (Remote) | Hybrid available in Sydney if preferred | Full time WHO WE ARE Inkse is an end to end custom apparel manufacturing platform that radically changes how the next generation of creators design, develop and produce premium garments. We are the first custom apparel manufacturer in the world with no minimum order quantity. Our platform combines specialised manufacturing techniques such as embroidery, puff print, reflective and flocking with a live 3D design configurator, real time pricing and a first rate network of global production partners. The result is that anyone, from a solo designer to a global brand, can manufacture premium apparel in a fraction of the time and at a fraction of the cost it takes them otherwise. Most custom apparel platforms are a logo printed on a blank tee. We are not that. We are a real manufacturer with real production depth, wrapped in software that makes it feel effortless. That combination does not exist anywhere else and we are just getting started. THE ROLE Inkse needs an experienced and ambitious product engineer to design, build and ship the platform our creators use to bring premium apparel to life, from concept to delivery. This is a unique, high agency opportunity to own the product end to end at a nimble Australian technology company building on the latest stack. You will decide what gets built and how to build it. You will sit in the conversations where the roadmap is made, then design it, build it, ship it and watch real customers use it the same week. This is a deeply technical role for an engineer who works AI first. You will write, review and maintain production code every day and own the health of our codebase. AI tools will be your default way of working and you will also build with AI, creating agents that automate our operations, power customer experiences and test our ecommerce flows from end to end. The engineers who thrive here combine maximum AI leverage with real engineering depth. You read code critically, debug it when it breaks and keep the architecture sound as the product grows. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Product decisions: Shape the product roadmap alongside the founders and turn opportunities into shipped features.End to end ownership: Scope, design, build, ship and iterate on projects across the entire platform.Build agents: Design and ship AI agents for internal automation, customer facing features and quality assurance across the platform.Growth and conversion: Improve how the platform converts and monetises. Instrument the funnel, analyse where customers drop off, run experiments and build features that drive sales from first design session to checkout.Test ecommerce flows: Own the reliability of our revenue critical flows, from configurator to checkout, including agent driven testing from end to end.3D design platform: Build and extend our real time 3D configurator, the core of the customer experience (WebGL and 3D asset pipelines).Headless commerce: Develop and maintain our headless Shopify storefront and the systems around it.Codebase ownership: Write, review, refactor and maintain production code daily and take responsibility for the long term health of the codebase.Architecture: Make sound architectural decisions that keep the platform fast to build on as we scale. YOUR EXPERIENCE Proven experience shipping and maintaining production codebases over time.Strong product sense with a track record of influencing what gets built, not just building it.Strong technical proficiency independent of your tools. You can read, debug and reason about code written with AI as confidently as code you typed yourself.Experience working with AI at the centre of your development workflow, with ideas about what agents can unlock.Sound architectural judgment and an understanding of how decisions compound as a codebase grows.Eagerness to work on ecommerce growth, including conversion rate optimisation, funnel analytics and features that drive sales.Comfort working in a lean startup environment with a bias to action and accountability.Experience with Three.js, WebGL, 3D asset pipelines or Shopify would be highly beneficial.Legally able to work in Australia. WHY INKSE? You are looking to use your skill set to build the first digitised fashion supply chain in the world. You want to reinvent one of the largest industries in the world, shaping supply chains towards on demand manufacturing that is better for people and the planet. You are looking for a lateral creative problem solving role at the intersection of software, 3D, AI agents and physical manufacturing. You want to be at the cutting edge, using the latest tools to build exceptional customer experiences. You like working in small teams where you get the ability to design it, ship it and measure it.You need flexibility in your working life. Work fully remote anywhere in Australia, or hybrid from our Sydney office if you prefer. HOW TO APPLY Send a short note on why this role interests you, plus a link to something you have built and shipped. That could be GitHub, a side project, an agent you made or a product you owned. Show us how you think.
