The Role We are looking for an Expert DevOps Engineer (f/m/d) who combines deep technicalexpertise with hands-on leadership to join our Lifecycle Management team in Sofia. In this role, you will act as the technical anchor for the team, driving decisions acrosssystems, shaping how platform components are owned and evolved, and enabling theteam to operate with autonomy. You will go beyond system-level work, influencing architecture, lifecycle strategy, andcross-team alignment, while remaining hands-on in solving complex technical challenges. What You’ll Do Take end-to-end ownership of complex, cross-cutting platform systems,including CI/CD platforms, Kubernetes shared components, and automation toolingAct as the technical anchor for the team, guiding architecture-level andsystem-level decisionsDefine and drive lifecycle strategies at scale (versioning, upgrades,deprecation, reliability standards) across multiple systemsLead the takeover of systems from other teams and establish clearownership and governanceDrive improvements in CI/CD, automation, and platform reliabilitySolve complex, multi-layer problems across CI/CD, Kubernetes,infrastructure, and integrationsMentor team members and support their growth in system ownership andtechnical skillsCollaborate with architects and senior stakeholders across SAP CloudInfrastructure, influencing decisions beyond the teamIdentify opportunities to reduce complexity, improve reliability, and increaseautomation. What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field Deep knowledge of CI/CD architectures and pipeline ecosystemsAdvanced understanding of Kubernetes components (e.g. controllers, ingress, cert-manager)Proficiency in programming / scripting languages such as Python, Go or Bash (orsimilar)Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible or similar)Deep understanding of distributed systems and cloud-native technologiesStrong understanding of system lifecycle management at scale (upgrades,compatibility, deprecation strategies)Ability to drive technical direction and decisions in ambiguous environmentsExperience leading cross-team initiatives and system ownership transitionsExperience working in agile, collaborative environments with distributedinternational teamsStrong ownership mindset and ability to work in evolving environmentsExcellent team player, passionate about his/her work, self-motivated and driven Excellent communication skills in English Tech You Bring OpenStack or similar infrastructure platformsKubernetes ecosystemScripting/programming (Go, Python, Bash or similar)CI/CD tools (Concourse, Jenkins, GitLab CI or similar)Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible or similar automation tools)Linux environments Observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana) – nice to haveSecrets management (e.g. Vault) – nice to have Meet Your Team You'll join PlusOne Central Engineering, where innovation meets collaboration.
