About The Role: As a Senior DevOps Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow. The client's platform enables energy utilities to unlock the full value of a radically changing energy system and propel us to a future where renewable energy is sustainable, affordable and accessible for all. From automating and simplifying core operations including billing to create a lower-cost, higher-engagement experience, to optimising energy usage across smart devices in the home, we turn tough challenges into win-win-win outcomes for customers, suppliers and the energy system. Responsibilities: Support with implementation of more complex AWS workflowsDesign and implement highly available, fault-tolerant, and secure AWS architectures at scale. Contribute to the overall cloud strategy and roadmapBuild complex CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and configuration management for large-scale applicationsProactively analyze infrastructure performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies for cost and efficiencyLead troubleshooting efforts for complex system-wide issues, root cause analysis, and implementation of preventative measuresDesign and enforce secure infrastructure patterns, conduct security audits, and drive security initiativesMentor team members, foster a culture of continuous learning, and share best practices within the organizationStay updated on emerging DevOps tools and AWS services, evaluating their potential impact and driving adoption Requirements: We know that sometimes, you can’t tick every box. We would still love to hear from you if you think you’re a good fit! 5+ years of experience in a DevOps engineering role with significant AWS experienceProven track record of designing and implementing large-scale AWS solutionsDeep knowledge of AWS services, architectures, and design patternsExcellent skills in CloudFormation, Terraform, or other IaC toolsDemonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems and architect robust solutionsExtensive experience with Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), and microservices architecturesExcellent communication and collaboration skills Desirable: Expertise in configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.)Relevant AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect Professional, AWS DevOps Engineer Professional, AWS Security Specialty)Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experienceStrong scripting skills (Python, Bash)In-depth knowledge of networking concepts, VPC design and network securityStrong understanding of cloud security principles, and compliance standards (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS) What’s in it for you?
