Front End Developer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Front End Developer based in Canada. This is an opportunity to build engaging digital experiences across multiple concurrent products and platforms in a remote environment. You will translate creative concepts and designs into polished, responsive, production-ready front-end experiences. The role combines hands-on development with close collaboration across creative, design, QA, and technology teams. You will work on custom digital developments, CRM and email experiences, microsites, and mobile-responsive applications. Beyond delivery, you will contribute to technical decisions, troubleshoot issues, and help ensure high standards across every release. Accountabilities Translate creative and design concepts into accurate, responsive, and production-ready front-end experiences across banners, CRM, email, microsites, and other digital projects.Build and maintain projects across relevant digital platforms, custom developments, and mobile-responsive applications.Develop clean, reliable, maintainable code that follows established coding standards, methodologies, best practices, and release requirements.Collaborate with QA and testing teams to validate functionality, performance, and expected behavior before and after release.Own day-to-day bug fixing, investigating issues efficiently and communicating solutions clearly with relevant stakeholders.Work closely with creative and design teams to assess the technical feasibility of concepts and layouts, identifying constraints early and helping prevent downstream delivery issues.Contribute to Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and iterative delivery activities.Research emerging technologies, frameworks, tools, and development practices, evaluating how they can improve project delivery and create additional value for clients.Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, debugging, documentation, and other development activities while maintaining strong engineering standards.Develop and maintain effective personal AI workflows that improve productivity without compromising code quality, security, or technical judgment.Critically review AI-generated code and recommendations, validating outputs before incorporating them into production solutions.Manage multiple concurrent workstreams effectively, balancing priorities, deadlines, technical requirements, and creative expectations. Requirements Proven professional experience as a Front End Developer or in a comparable web development role.Strong proficiency in HTML5 and CSS3, including SASS, with the ability to produce clean, semantic, and well-structured code.Strong JavaScript skills and hands-on experience with Angular, TypeScript, or comparable modern front-end frameworks.Experience developing hand-coded HTML emails, including an understanding of cross-client rendering limitations and email development best practices.Familiarity with NPM, Git, and task runners such as Gulp or Grunt.Working knowledge of WordPress and/or Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).Experience working with web services, APIs, and JSON-based data.Familiarity with third-party advertising and ad-serving platform implementations.Basic design skills and a strong appreciation for creative direction, with the ability to accurately interpret and implement visual concepts.Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and structured problem-solving abilities.Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively across multiple simultaneous projects.Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical constraints and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Ability to learn new languages, platforms, frameworks, and technologies quickly.Experience working in financial services is an advantage but not essential.Practical experience using Generative AI tools for front-end development, including code generation, debugging, documentation, and productivity enhancement.Ability to build effective AI-assisted development workflows while maintaining code quality and established engineering standards.Strong technical judgment when evaluating AI-generated code, including the ability to identify errors, security concerns, performance issues, and maintainability risks.An agentic approach to development, with the ability to break complex requirements into manageable components and identify efficient paths to delivery.Formal qualifications are welcome but not mandatory; equivalent professional experience, self-directed learning, open-source contributions, and demonstrated practical expertise are also valued.
